Troubleshooting

GPG key verification errors

If you encounter GPG errors, use [trusted=yes] option:

echo 'deb [trusted=yes] https://noetl.github.io/apt jammy main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/noetl.list

For production use with GPG signing (coming soon):

# Import GPG key
curl -fsSL https://noetl.io/apt/gpg.key | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /usr/share/keyrings/noetl.gpg

# Add repository with signed key
echo 'deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/noetl.gpg] https://noetl.github.io/apt jammy main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/noetl.list

Package not found

Ensure you're using the correct codename for your Ubuntu version:

# Check your Ubuntu version
lsb_release -sc
# Output: jammy (22.04), focal (20.04), noble (24.04)

# Use that codename in repository URL
echo 'deb [trusted=yes] https://noetl.github.io/apt $(lsb_release -sc) main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/noetl.list

Dependency errors after dpkg install

If manual dpkg installation fails with missing dependencies:

sudo apt-get install -f

Permission denied

Ensure the binary has execute permissions:

sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/noetl
